At Sangira, we care about both the external and internal contexts of strategy and how these fit with the competitive environment. We are corporate strategists and organizational development practitioners, solving problems through a combination of hard skills and soft skills. We help to conceive strategy and to implement strategy. We work internationally and locally.
Based in New York City, Sangira draws on the skills of a variety of independent consulting professionals from specific disciplines. We can work remotely, on-site at a client’s office or in any international location, as the project requires.
David Holloway is the principal of Sangira. A lawyer by training with an MBA and an undergraduate degree in economics, David is a qualified executive coach and a highly skilled writer, teacher and facilitator. Throughout his twenty year international career, he has worked with clients such as Microsoft, BMG, Pfizer, Deloitte, Dolby, Cisco, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Clifford Chance, JP Morgan, the New York Stock Exchange, Barclays Capital, Blackrock, DBT International, Macquarie Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, MSN and the Royal Australian Air Force.
David spent three years as the Asia Pacific head of business development for AOL, a role in which he was responsible for the company’s strategic expansion into Japan, Greater China and Australasia. Prior to this, David spent a total of five years in legal, human resources and business development roles with BMG, and in 2003 he advised on the merger of Sony Music and BMG. He lived and worked as an attorney in Hong Kong for five years after beginning his career at CBS Records Australia in the 1980s.
David graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws and gained an MBA from the Australian School of Business. He is an attorney licensed to practice law in New South Wales (Australia), England and Wales and Hong Kong, holds a Master Coach Certificate from the Behavioural Coaching Institute and is a 2012 graduate of Harvard Business School’s Leading New Ventures Entrepreneur program. He is a member of the International Coach Federation, the Society for Human Resource Management the Organizational Development Network and the American Society for Training and Development. David is a consultant with the National Executive Service Corps, Luminary Labs and The Hired Guns and an associate with international consulting company RogenSI.
